Every hour from 7.15pm on Saturday, Burj Khalifa will be draped with the Indian flag; at least 3 other iconic structures in UAE light up in Indian flag for Modi’s visit 

Dubai: From Abu Dhabi to Dubai, some of the UAE’s iconic buildings lit up in colours of India’s flag ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the country.

Dubai-based developer Emaar, owner of the 828-metre tower, confirmed to Gulf News that the Indian flag will be displayed every hour from 7.15pm to 11.15pm on Saturday.

 

The Indian flag display in LED on the tower also goes in tandem with similar expressions of welcome on other iconic buildings, including the Dubai Frame, the Abu Dhabi will coincide with Indian Prime Minister’s visit.

The thousands are expected to gather under the cool winter skies to watch the light show.

On the eve of Modi’s visit, the Adnoc bulding and Emirates Palace in the capital lit up in India’s tri-colours. In Dubai, the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Frame also lit up in the colours of the Indian flag ahead of Modi’s visit.
