The 18-foot structure is now the Guinness World Record holder for the World’s Tallest Supported Topiary Sculpture…
It’s already one of Dubai’s top tourist destinations, home to around 100 million blooms of more than 70 flower varieties. And as part of its sixth season, Dubai Miracle Garden has unveiled a brand new addition to the park; a super-sized version of Disney’s beloved Mickey Mouse.
The 18-foot floral Mickey Mouse statue is also now an official Guinness World Record holder, as the World’s Tallest Supported Topiary Sculpture.
The statue, a collaboration with Disney to celebrate the upcoming 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse, is made up of almost 100,000 flowers and weighs close to 35 tonnes. It’s supported by a 7-ton steel structure that also has a foundation of a staggering 50 tons of reinforced concrete.
It’s the second Guinness World Record awarded to Dubai Miracle Garden, which is also home to a life-size replica of an Emirates A380 – the world’s largest floral installation.
The park has also suggested that there will be more Walt-Disney themed projects in the future. We’d certainly love to see a floral version of Beauty and the Beast…
