The Annual Investment Meeting is an exclusive gathering of international investors coming together with leading academics and experts to showcase strategies for attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The annual meeting will host corporate leaders, policy makers, global investment experts, and economic promotion agencies from all over the world.

The theme for AIM 2019 is ‘Mapping the Future of FDI: Enriching World Economies through Digital Globalisation’, with discussions around creating more inclusive economies and achieving sustainable development goals using new technologies. A few highlights for 2019 include Online and On-site Business Matchmaking, the Investment Awards – granted to select Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA) from nine regions globally, as well as Country Presentations, which allow various investment destinations to promote their potential. The event is an excellent opportunity to connect with over 19,000 visitors and 1,500 conference delegates including industry leaders and key stakeholders, in addition to exploring investment opportunities in over 140 countries.

AIM 2018 attracted 20,332 visitors, 459 exhibitors and 87 high-level dignitaries from 143 countries. Contributing sectors ranged from insurance to trade, real estate to construction, agribusiness to logistics and the top participating countries were China, India, Nigeria, Russia and Ukraine. Over 1000 experts and FDI specialists shared their knowledge with attendees regarding trends and investment opportunities, and individuals were able to promote their respective organisations to a targeted audience.
