Honour your favourite childhood teachers around the world in a dynamic concert starring pop superstars Liam Payne, Rita Ora and Little Mix this March. Launched by The Varkey Foundation, The Assembly: A Global Teacher Prize concert will celebrate the indispensable service of teachers around the world.

Liam Payne was a member of sensational hit One Direction before he embarked on solo projects that combined his pop background with R&B. Last year, he performed his first solo show in the UAE at Global Village. Co-act Little Mix is a four-piece girl group formed during the 2011 X-Factor UK. They’re known for hits like “Work” and “Wings”. Last but not least, Rita Ora gained fame with her debut album Ora, which featured hits like ‘R.I.P’ and “How Do We (Party)”.

The concert takes place on the evening of the Global Teacher Prize 2019 ceremony, which will see one teacher who has majorly contributed to the education landscape awarded a cash prize of USD$1 million. The concert is ticketed and open to all.
