The age-old predicament – you want a burger but your friend wants a bao. No need to argue anymore though, as this new restaurant at Bluewaters Dubai is offering both.
Prepare to “Take a bao or slide on over” for London Slide, a new funky restaurant part of The London Project that’s opened its doors in Meraas’ most recent destination.
Set at the foot of Ain Dubai, each of The London Project’s spaces have their own focal point to celebrate London’s affinity with art, music and fashioning. London Slide is set right next door to The London Project, with its own entrance.
The restaurant’s interiors will be filled with Rich Simmons’ London-esque art plastered on the walls, along with a “fun and funky retro atmosphere”.
London Slide gives people their choice of either sliders or baos, giving guests loads to choose from.
If you love sliders then you’re in luck, and you can choose from a range including the “Big Ben”, which is a grass-fed Angus patty, smothered in cheddar, or “The Duke” (seeing the British theme here?) with brie, mushrooms, truffle and avocado.
More into poultry? Check out the chicken slider, comprised of fried chicken, smoked cheese, jalapeño and more, or if you fancy some fish, the “Fleet Street” fillet fish slider comes with cheddar and caper dill mayo.
Veggies can dig into the “Covent Garden” with vegetable rosti, cheddar cheese, lettuce, red onion and tomato, with chipotle and tzatziki.
As for the baos, we can’t wait to check out theSpicy beef bao with slow-cooked beef brisket, kim chi, cucumber, crispy onion and the tiger prawn version with marinated tiger prawns, house-made slaw, cucumber and wasabi with chilli sauce. Finally there’s the crispy fried tofu bao with pickled vegetables, mushrooms and tonkatsu.
If you’re looking for something sweet there’s a range of signature milkshakes and homemade lemonades.
Bluewaters Dubai is set to be a dining hotspot, with restaurants like Alici and Japanese-Koreanrestaurant Peru opening up soon.
