Fancy taking a day trip to Oman but don’t have a car? Well, now you can as Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched three daily services from Dubai to Muscat.

The journey, a partnership with Oman’s national transport company Mwasalat, takes around six hours, with a single fare priced at just Dhs55, and a return at Dhs90.

Passengers can embark on the trip from three locations in Dubai, Abu Hail Metro Station, Dubai Airport Terminal 2 or Rashidiya Metro Station.

The three-time daily service will depart at 7.30am, 3.30pm and 11pm each day. The bus service will make a total of seven stops on the route, including at Shinas, Sohar, Barka, Muscat Airport and Athiba Bus Stations in Muscat. It will also do the same on the return journey.

And if six hours sounds like a long time to be onboard, the luxury, 50-seater coaches are kitted out with free WiFi, meaning you can stay connected on your journey.

Currently, tickets are only available over the counter, but will soon be available to pre purchase online and using your nol card.
