Now described as ‘the largest blockchain festival in the world’, the 2018 edition of the Future Blockchain Summit saw more than 8100 attendees, and organisers expect more in 2019. The Future Blockchain Summit is the world’s first city-hosted blockchain festival, launched in 2018 and hosted by the Smart Dubai organisation. It is a gateway to the latest innovative thinking and applications in blockchain, and an inspirational meeting ground for industry leaders and start-ups from the blockchain ecosystem.

New to the 2019 event are retail and education sections, while the conference is split into ten tracks, covering keynote addresses from local and global experts, ‘hot topics’, finance, healthcare, logistics, and much more. The interest in blockchain activity in Dubai is being championed by the government itself; with Dubai aiming to become the first blockchain-powered government.
