he Dubai Entertainment, Amusement and Leisure Exhibition (DEAL) is the largest trade event for the industry within the MENA region. It has grown in strength and numbers over the years and will be celebrating its silver jubilee in 2019. The show attracts prominent attendees from all over the world and presents cutting-edge innovations that set a new parameter for the global entertainment industry. Research shows that the UAE’s travel and tourism sector will increase to over $56bn by 2022, which makes the country a perfect hub for entertainment in the region.

DEAL 2019 is expected to showcase more innovative products and experiences than ever before, such as virtual reality games, 9D park rides and 12D cinemas to name a few.  A major portion of the show is the Amusement Operator and Franchise Showcase (AOFS), which brings together brand owners, franchisees, licensees and regulatory agencies. Its objective is to create global awareness among investors and discuss international concepts and ideas. It will be exceptionally rewarding for visitors as they explore new possibilities in the amusement industry and interact one-on-one with international exhibitors.

In 2018, DEAL hosted over 300 exhibitors from 40 countries – the majority of whom were from Asia, with 93% of them reporting that they had met their sales targets. Also in attendance were visitors from over 102 countries, 59% coming from top tier management roles.  There were dedicated sectors for manufacturers, suppliers, operators, developers and distributors, and exhibitors were split into categories, such as leisure products to photography, security to amusement rides and much more, making it easier for attendees to find exactly what they were looking for.
