New Meraas development Al Seef has transformed a portion of Dubai Creek in Bur Dubai, and the area is about to get another feather in its cap – a floating market that will open before Ramadan in May.

BeYouLand market will be made up of 17 abra-style boats that will bob on the Creek’s water along the Al Seef Promenade. The boats will each be their own walk-in store, with fitting rooms and air conditioning. They will feature both international and local brands and sell everything from clothes to art and food.

Some of the boats are already on the water, and according to BeYouLand’s website they’re currently looking for vendors:

The floating market will be run by the same people who operate the wooden shack pop-up shops on Kite Beach that open over the Dubai winter.

Al Seef is a newly opened water promenade on Dubai Creek that stretches over 1.8km and hosts restaurants and shops as well as occasional pop-ups. It is expected that the new location will see a turnout of 9 million people in its first year.

BeYouLand was founded by Sheikha Maytha Hasher Al Maktoum: “With such a tremendous response and success within one year [at Kite Beach etc], we are very excited to bring this all new idea,” she said. “It is a big step for our group BeYou and I am so excited to see people come and enjoy this.”
