Fan of the US TV show, Friends? Then get excited, as a cafe inspired by the one where you watched so many of your favourite scenes unfold is now open in Dubai.
Not quite a replica of Central Perk (a couple of those have previously existed in Dubai but since closed), Cross Cultural Perks can be found in the Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa in Al Fahidi and promises interiors inspired by the 90s hit TV show.
The venue describes that it has ‘a friendly, comfortable, authentic cultural vibe; where friends come to meet’, and features both exposed brickwork and painted walls emblazoned with ‘Coffee and friends make the perfect blend’.
Open 24 hours seven days a week, the menu offers an array of healthy Emirate and Western a la carte dishes from breakfast until late night. Expect typical cafe dishes such as sandwiches, salads, burgers, and pies. There are also be Indian dishes and Asian delicacies, as well as Emirati signatures made with camel meat.
