Firework nights
Yas Marina will be putting on three nights of fireworks to mark Eid in the UAE capital. Flashes, bangs and colours will light up the night sky over the iconic marina starting at 9pm on the first three days of Eid Al Fitr. Those who wish to take in the spectacle from a traditional dhow, can hop on Captain Tony’s shared cruise and enjoy a tour around the waters. Departing each night at 8.30pm the cruise will last one hour and costs Dhs100 per adult or Dhs50 for kids between six and 12 years old.
Building ties
LegoLand Dubai has many activities at the park. From June 3 to 8, children visiting with their parents can take part in an awesome building experience at MINILAND, where they can build traditional Arabic lanterns before tucking into a buffet meal at Caesar’s Pizza & Pasta for Dhs50 per person.

Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, the king of comedy, Russell Peters, will return to Dubai this Eid to offer everyone an unforgettable evening of laughter. Given the film has been such a smash hit, Ibn Battuta Mall will be putting on Aladdin-themed interactive shows, meet and greet sessions, arts and craft workshops, roaming entertainment and more from June 6 to 8. Held at China Court, the festivities will pay tribute to Middle Eastern folklore, featuring an Aladdin-themed stage show with fairy tales, genies, a magic carpet and a fantasy land. Timings are 5.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
